Free Diabetes Testing - DO IT!

Thanks to Oprah, from February 5-18, Walgreens is offering Diabetes Wellness Events with free blood glucose testing. Go to walgreens.com/diabetes to find out when the event will be in your area. You can also call 1-800-Walgreens because you may be able to get the testing done at your convenience through the Take Care Clinic found in most Walgreens stores. This is such a simple and quick way to check for something that can be prevented or controlled with proper diet and exercise. I will be going because diabetes (along with heart conditions and obesity, which don't help the issue) is highly prevalent in my family. Diabetes is not discerning and regardless of how young you feel, you should still get tested. I am going to ask my dad and husband to come with me because they are both at risk due to genetics. It's worth the few minutes to possibly save a life (yours or someone you love.)
