It's not Autism but...
A wonderful dear friend of mine (who knows at least three families with a sensory child) is always on the lookout for resources and activities for us. She found an amazing (and MUCH needed) opportunity through the Autism Society of America. Once a month, 95 movie theaters across the United States host Sensory Friendly Films. To be honest, I cried when I clicked on the link my friend sent. We have taken both of our boys to the movies many times just because sometimes we want to go as a family but the only way the little one will sit quietly is if we feed him. When we did go as a family, we went around lunch or dinner time so he can eat the whole time. Lately (the last 6 months), my husband or I have just taken the older one (or we let my dad take him) because it's too much work to take a sensory kid the movies. The thought of going to the movies with parents who understand why my child wants to climb over the seats, scoot down the stairs on his bottom, or say "pe-oh, pe-oh" over and over and over and over is a dream come true. He loves movies but just watches them differently than most kids. Now we have the guarantee that, once a month, we can all actually enjoy a movie!

BOGO Minor League Baseball Tickets
When I was a kid, my family went to Lakeland Tigers games all the time. My brothers and I loved it! I really want to take my boys this summer and this a great way to make that happen!
Thanks, Southern Savers!

More Cheap Summer Activities - Central Florida
A huge thanks to Our Family Ramblings for taking the time to compile this great list of stuff to do this summer. There is so much going on, especially for the 8-12 crowd. (She has two kids in that age range so it makes sense that she found so much for them.)
Have a great summer!!

Cheap Summer Activities - Central Florida
- Joann's Fabric - Kid's Camp, most of the projects are for kids 8 and older but some are for 5 and up. Check the schedule in the store before you get your kids excited.
- Bass Pro Shops - Family Summer Camp, they will have weekly activities from June 5-July 11. The free activities, crafts, and snacks are every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from noon-6pm. One of my readers went this past weekend and said there was so many things going on and they loved it!
- AMC Theaters - Every Tuesday through the summer (June 15-August 10), they are showing a kids movie for $1/person! They also have KidsPack concession combos for $4. All movie and concession proceeds go to charity. We did this last summer and it was great! I even took The Little One who was only 7 months old. He did great so if you are scared to take your kids to the movies, this is the time!
- Garden Theater - They will have $1 movies, too. They are also every Tuesday at 10 am (June 15-August 3). I plan on going to all the movies we don't own so I'm glad two theaters are doing this!
What else is going on in Central Florida that we need to know about? Let's keep these kids busy!
Thanks, HM, KG, and Our Family Ramblings!

How to Vacation for Less
Before you make your summer vacation plans, read 101 Ways to Save Money's great tips. My husband and I booked our first cruise recently and we saved about $300 because we are going in September instead of during summer vacation. To save another $40/person, book an inside room because they are really only for sleeping anyway! We have also used hotwire.com for hotel reservations and got a room a mile off the beach in Naples, FL for $30 a night. Vacations don't have to be expensive to be fun!

Father's Day Deal
Are you at a loss as to what to get your dad or husband for Father's Day? Have you always wanted to learn to ride a motorcycle? If so, Florida Two Wheel Training is running a great deal! They offer Motorcycle Endorsement and Florida Rider Training but for Father's Day, your dad (or husband) can attend training for free with a paying son, daughter, or wife!! If your mom wants to learn instead, you can bring her in place of dad and she can get the same deal. It's a great two for one deal for a savings of $150!
Tell them Mom Loves Deals sent you. :)

Saturday Morning Kids Activities
If you are looking for something fun and free to do with the kids this morning, here are two great options.
Also, from 10am-11am, kids can make their own kaleidoscope at Lowe's. My son has participated in Lowe's Build and Grow clinics before and they are great. My husband liked it, too because he got to help since our then 3 year old wasn't so good with a hammer. My 22 year old brother went with us and made his very own pirate ship.
I hope everyone has a great Saturday!

Free stuff to do
If you are bored but want to save money, do something free! Pack a lunch and head to Tampa or Orlando for the day. I haven't heard of some of these places so I think we might visit soon!
Where else can we go for free?
