Save on Medication

I saw this on our local news last night and had to share it with you. The Attorney General and The Agency for Health Care Administration created a new website to help you shop for prescription medications and save money. MyFloridaRX will help you figure out which pharmacy in your area has your medicine at the lowest price. It covers all Florida counties. It is a new website so not all pharmacies or medications are listed at this time (Publix and Target are not and my birth control was not) but it's still a great resource. I searched one of my son's asthma medications (which we paid $400 for when he was between insurance companies) and between CVS, Wal-Mart, and Walgreens the price goes from $361.99 to $543.99! If I was still paying cash for this, I would LOVE to know I could save $182 a month just by switching to CVS. Search your medication and see where you can save!

Also, Publix has added the generic form of Glucophage (a diabetes medication) to it's free list. Here are the rest of free medications you can get at Publix.
